This award is gained through CAFOD and is an award inspired by a message from Pope Francis to put our faith into action.

There are 3 parts to the award - Global actions, Local actions and School actions

Here are the nine actions that we are working on to achieve this award:

Global Action 1 - Big Lent Walk

We will join in the Big Lent walk to raise money for CAFOD to help the children to understand and help poverty overseas.

Global Action 2 - Big Green Week

We will concentrate on looking at ways to make our school environment better, to create flower beds and to work on recycling throughout the school.

Global Action 3 - Day of the Poor 

We will think about poor people around the world and write prayers to help these people.

Local Action 1 - Community links

We will strive to involve the parish and local community in our school events and celebrations to forge strong links.

Local Action 2 - Harvest Festival

We will learn the importance of sharing food, we will make donations to our local foodbank and celebrate harvest time with our parish family.

Local Action 3 - Wrap Up UK appeal

We will take part in this appeal by donating coats to support homeless people in our local area.

School Action 1 - World Earth Day

We will learn about God's Wonderful world through stories and artwork and share this with the school and wider commmunity.

School Action 2 - Pre-loved uniform shop

We will create and maintain a pre-loved uniform shop available to all of our families.

School Action 3 - Stewardship

We will learn ways to look after our wonderful world and look for opportunities for the children to create a better environment such as making bug homes, bird feeders, planting wild flowers.
