Nursery
Hello and Welcome
St. Mary’s Nursery is situated in beautiful surroundings within the confines of St. Mary’s Catholic Primary School.
In our nursery we provide children with a safe, secure, fun, healthy and stimulating environment.
We offer a child-centred approach where children are encouraged to develop their creativity, individuality and self-confidence in secure surroundings, led by highly qualified practitioners who aim to secure strong happy relationships with children, parents and carers.
We think that children need a sense of security and belonging when at nursery and this is why we work using the key person approach (where each child has a designated member of staff) so the children can build good relationships with the practitioners.
We strive to ensure that all children feel happy, relaxed and safe and encourage them to gain confidence by building strong relationships with their peers and practitioners.
We offer a wide range of age appropriate learning materials, high quality toys and resources both inside and outside.
All children are provided with a varied and healthy diet, exercise, rest, play and fresh air which together contribute to their physical, social and emotional development.
The children develop at their own pace, whilst being surrounded by their peers and engage in age appropriate activities which allow them to learn new skills in a fun and enthusiastic environment.
We constantly invest in the nursery to ensure that we have high quality resources.
All staff are fully trained in first aid and safeguarding.
We are open 5 days a week from 9.00am – 3.00pm but Breakfast and After School Club are also available to parents/carers who require this additional service.
