Welcome to Year 1 and 2
Welcome to the Year 1 and 2 classroom, the teaching team in Year 1 and 2 includes Mrs. McGrath who is our class teacher. This term we are also joined in class by our SCITT Associate Teacher, Miss Foreman.
In Year 1 and 2 we provide the children with focused teaching and enhanced continuous provision, the activities set up in each area support the Year 1 and 2 Curriculum and provide the children with the opportunity to explore, embed and challenge their learning.

General Notices for Year 1 and 2
Reading at home is very important to all of Year 1 and 2 we are practising these skills regularly at home and in school. In school we will hear the children read regularly and every child should bring their reading books into school every day.
We still have snack in Year 1 and 2, and we enjoy sharing this together.
On Wednesdays and Fridays we have PE, your child can come to school in their PE kits on these days.
Homework this half term includes reading and learning our spellings.
